Post South Carolina Wrap Up
Gov. Mitt Romney finished fourth in the South Carolina Primary. Those in the Drive by Media as Rush calls them are clamoring at the prospects of the demise of Governor Romney. For those in the Media 4th isn’t so, when he didn’t even campaign in South Carolina, wait and see the real test will be Super Tuesday. I am confident that Sen. John McCain will become John Who once more, just as eight years ago. As for Gov. Huckabee, well he should be finished by then as well.
Let’s look at these two Media Darlings. First Sen. John McCain;
John McCain came to Washington on the coattails of the Greatest Post War US President Ronald Reagan in 1984. When President Reagan slammed down Vice President Walter Mondale in a 49 to 1 thrashing on Election Day. John McCain likes to talk about how he can change Washington. Sen. John McCain was the only Republican in the Keating Five bribes and kick back scandal of the 1980s. Sen. McCain and his partners in crime, Liberal Democrat Senator Alan Cranston of California, Liberal Democrat Senator John Glenn of Ohio, Liberal Democrat Senator Donald Riegle of Michigan and Liberal Democrat Senator Dennis DeConcini, of Arizona.
What does Senator McCain say in his defense he states “...if there had been real campaign reform he and his accomplices …” wouldn’t have been corrupted by Charles Keating.
It gets better Sen. McCain advocated for later flights out of Reagan National Airport so that he could fly to Arizona without having to go to Dulles Airport or BWI. Wonder how much the airline industry gave him for that vote.
Sen. McCain supports the war on Terror well kind of with that said. Sen. McCain seems to be revising history as he was always for President Bush’s tax cuts, the truth is he wasn’t. He has gone out of his way to stick his finger in the eye of Republicans. It is no secret he is more comfortable around Democrats then Republicans. Senator McCain your supported Amnesty for Illegal Aliens, common Senator we all heard you on C-SPAN advocating the McCain-Kennedy Immigration Reform Bill (Amnesty Bill).
Senator McCain my Grandfather knew President Reagan he called him a Friend, you Senator are no President Reagan!!!
As for the Governor of Arkansas from a town called Hope Mike Huckabee. Mike is a good man he is pro-life and he isn’t as bad a McCain. Unfortunately Gov. Huckabee is WRONG on a number of key issues, I am not a single issue voter. Gov. Huckabee has pardoned more criminals then Gov. Dukakis; Gov. Huckabee doesn’t have the fire in the belly to continue the War on Terror. He has openly criticized President Bush for conducting the War on Terror. Gov. Huckabee like Sen. McCain wants to close Guantanamo Bay Prison for Terrorists. What do you propose Governor we bring them to Arkansas so you can Pardon them?
So, my friends I speaking as a Catholic American must say I support Gov. Mitt Romney for President. Sure he has been wrong on issues in the past but he has had a transformation and learned from his errors. Gov. Romney has run multinational Corporations, he has had dealings with foreign governmental regulations, diplomacy and the art of getting things done which is needed in Washington. Gov. Romney would come to Washington to work not point fingers, as we are finding with current band of clowns in Congress.
